Technology of Yesterday and Today
Disclaimer.
MY Basic Technology is not an endorsement of any product or internet/tv provider. I am sharing my experience with the customers I have had the pleasure of assisting.
No college degree needed.
As tech support in a call center, I have assisted many customers who were paying for things they did not need. It was frowned upon to inform customers that they are paying for something that the customer may never use.
I identified lots of consumers who just needed to change or upgrade their service. Most concerning calls were the consumers who could benefit from education about their products and services.
My Technology experience.
My tech experience is not formal. Consider me a self-educated techy working towards the goal of sharing my experience. My goal is to save you time and money and show that there is a better way. Basic Technology series will help you not feel like you need a college degree for every device you own. Simple basics are all you will need.
I have always had a natural attraction to electronics and computers. I never feared taking anything apart and putting it back together. Computer science was my major in college in the mid-’80s. My career and life took a completely different route, but I never let my skills get out of date. I continued to learn and make my skills grow despite the different career choices I made.
My Promise.
My promise to you is that I can send you in the correct direction if I can’t figure it out. Even if you never want to make any changes or updates yourself, you at least will understand. This series is especially dedicated to my senior people. I keep this page and blog clean and free of pop-up ads. There will be affiliate ads and links, and you will know it when you see them.
Any questions, tips, or ideas are always welcomed. I would love to hear from you and thank you for your support.
