DIY Safety and Security

DIY Safety and Security

For DIY Safety, you must check your workspace

Essential DIY Safety consideration for me was space.  If working on a big project, you may need space like a garage or a back yard.  For smaller projects, you may only need a table. Be ready to safeguard your work in progress should you have to walk away for a period of time.  With children on anyone else in the household, consider if you can trust anyone not to touch your project.  I have a toddler at home and her safety to consider. If I need to walk away for even a second, I secure everything in my workspace.

DIY Safety

Keep everyone safe by keeping them out of the area.

Keeping the other adult members of your household not only can help save you time but can also keep everyone safe.

Secure tools and chemicals

Very important to store tools and chemicals in a room that can be closed and preferably locked. I keep tools and chemicals under lock and key. As a result, my granddaughter is safe.   Putting everything away may be inconvenient in the short term, but so worth it in the end.

Just a little extra time you spend making sure everyone is safe can also help save you time in the end. Check out my time-saving post for more time-saving ideas.
