DJI Avata 360 Review
My First Flights, Real Experience & Why This Drone Feels Like FPV Without the Stress.
There is nothing like opening a brand-new drone and knowing it is about to become part of your routine and fleet. I don’t even have words to describe the excitement I felt the moment I unboxed the DJI Avata 360.
This was not just a drone purchase. To me it is the key to unlocking a whole new world of aerial adventures. This excitement was different than the usual excitement I feel when adding a new drone to my growing fleet.

My First Impression of the DJI Avata 360
Right out the box, the DJI Avata gives off a solid, ready for action feel. This unboxing is simple. I do not offer any deep technical breakdown. I simply pull out each item and enjoy the moment.
Here is a look at my DJI Avata Unboxing and first impressions.
How I Flew It
For my first flight, I used the DJI RC2 controller instead of going full FPV. That made the experience feel more comfortable while still giving me those smooth, FPV style shots.
What I Loved
- Smooth Footage
- Easy editing in the DJI FLY app
- 360 style movement
- Great beginner confidence boost.
What I am still learning
- Camera Settings
- Better Angles
- More creative movements
- Planning shots before flying
“This Drone made me look better than I actually am and I am not mad about it.”

A few Tips:
- Check for firmware updates beforehand
- Check your airspace before every Flight
- Use LAANC when required
- Bring water, extra batteries, and a landing Pad
- Make sure you have installed a high-speed SD Card at least 250 gigs or more.
- Don’t assume you will have cell service at every park
Drone Lab Reminder!
Before flying anywhere, always check current airspace, local rules, temporary flight restrictions, and park requirements. Conditions change quickly!
Before you go
By now you know that the DJI Avata is exciting for me. Flying with it makes me feel Advanced without feeling impossible. I can grow with it, experiment and still enjoy great footage while I am learning.
I am only just beginning, and it is going to get better.
