Interactive Flight Map & Permit Guide
I created this interactive map to make it easier to see all approved drone parks in Henderson, Nevada, in one place. Instead of searching park by park, you can quickly view locations, compare distances, and plan a full flying day if you’re heading out with freshly charged batteries — and maybe a portable charger for a little bonus airtime.
Right now, this guide focuses exclusively on Henderson Nevada Drone Approved Parks, because these are the locations I personally visit, review, and practice at. This is meant to be a practical planning tool — not a replacement for official sources.
Before choosing any park, always check the current approved list directly with the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department website. Regulations can change. Henderson, Nevada, Drone-Approved Parks may close temporarily. Events may restrict access.
You must also:
- Look for any Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs)
- Verify airspace using the Aloft app. (Apple) (Google Play)
- Determine whether LAANC authorization is required.
- Confirm current FAA airspace classifications.
Even if a park appears on the approved list, rely on your instincts when you arrive. If something appears unsafe — heavy crowds, unexpected events, wind conditions, nearby obstacles — do not fly. As the Remote Pilot in Command, responsibility ultimately falls on you. Property damage, injuries, or unsafe operations won’t be blamed on the park list. They’ll be attributed to the pilot who chose to launch.

- Questions: (702) 267-5707
This map is a planning tool. The official website and FAA airspace verification tools are your final authority.
Fly smart. Fly prepared. And when in doubt — pack it up and come back another day. There will always be another sunrise to capture. 🌅
If you’re just beginning your journey into drone flying, understanding where you can fly is just as important as learning how to fly. Local park rules, airspace awareness, permits, and safety considerations all become part of the hobby sooner than most new pilots expect. Before investing in new gear or heading out for your first launch, take a few minutes to read my story of how I started this hobby. Getting Into the Drone Hobby. It walks through a few things I wish I’d known before buying a drone.
